Students learn how to plan learning using appropriate frameworks. Graduates will also learn how to support child development, understand legislation and maintain a safe environment for children, families and staff.
Students will gain hands-on practical experience by undertaking vocational placement in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Have satisfactorily completed a minimum of year 10 or equivalent
- Be sufficiently proficient in English to be able to work successfully in a highly regulated environment
- Students are required to have a sound proficiency in language, literacy and numeracy (LLN Level 3)
- Be physically able to complete first aid certificate
- Be sympathetic to the welfare of children
- Be of suitable maturity, health and personality to care for children
